A little History
Situated in western Poland, Sulechow has had friendship links with Rushmoor since 1981. The official twinning charter was signed in 2001.
This was when considerable aid was organised to help the town, then behind the iron curtain, by the late Rushmoor Councillor, Stefan Kurylak.

Sulechów is a small walled town of some 20,000 people in Western Poland, about 44 miles from the East German border, and is in the province of Zielona Gora. Sulechów is the seat of the Authority which borders on the 9 communes which are under its control. Formally it was part of Eastern Germany, but after world war 2 the frontiers were re-drawn and it became annexed to Poland.
